Default I'm interested in adoption but...?

My mum has been a childminder for the last 24 years. So I grew up around lots of kids. And I would like to adopt but as a guardian. Meaning they won't make them call me mum unless they want to... is that possible to just be a guiardian or must one be a parent? Or maybe fostering is right for me? I am 24 years old and in no rush. Just looking at my options.

You could try fostering and see if you like that. Then you can see if being a parent is something you might want to try. There are many children out there who are in the foster system who need loving, safe, and caring homes to stay at. You might find that very rewarding in its self!
