Default Scared of losing my health if I have a baby?

Chances of dying, scarring, agony, respiratory problems, hemorrhage, cuts, illness, depression, torn flesh, mental illness, hormonal problems.

What to do?
Also, how does the anaesthetic work when you have a baby? Can you feel any pain?

You have to decide and make the decision when it is the right time to have a baby. The likelihood of any of these occurring to you is very small in percentage. You should speak with your OB doctor to discuss your concerns prior to making that step to TTC. Alot of moms do have the baby blues after the baby comes but others don't experience this at all. Hormones are obviously going to fluctuate, so you can expect some mood swings of tears, laughter, and just plan miserable. But you should know that most of this is all temporary and will deminish in time. All will be worth it for the of your baby.

Okay honestly the pregnant part is the worst part in my opinion. I wish I could have had a surrogate mother to carry the baby and then get the baby at the end. I do not like being pregnant one bit. You just have to weigh the options and see if you will be able to stand it, it's not a walk in the park for 9 months. But the baby at the end is worth it...

Having a baby definitely changes your body, but it is very healthy as long as you are healthy. And even if you have health problems it can be done safely as long as your Dr. closely monitors you. All of those things you listed are extremely rare! Having an abortion to protect yourself from health problems is not a good option. First of all, abortions can hurt you physically. God did not create our body's to be treated so barbarically. Secondly, the emotional distress that you will have to deal with for the rest of your life afterward is not worth living through (You will eventually realize that you killed your child) and lastly, it is simply selfish for a woman to decide that her life has more value than her unborn child. The child did not ask to be conceived and has no say over its life. Therefore, a woman must protect that poor tiny person.

I reccomend an epidural!! Super great! They insert a catheter into the lining of your spinal cord (Trust me, it hurts a lot less than a contraction!) and in just a couple of minutes, you feel nothing from the waist down. Some women do not even feel the baby coming out but that is only 15% of women. The rest of us do feel the baby coming out. Some describe it as a burning sensation, for me, it hurt really bad. But my beautiful daughters are so utterly worth it. I'd go through it a hundred times for each of them if I had to to have them. God created your body to do it. You'll be fine. My 2 best friends (and millions of other women) go through birth without even a pain killer. They like feeling like they are in control. You can do it. When the time comes to deliver, your body will take over, you will know you can do it. The fear will leave. It's how God created us.

if you don't have any medicel problem almost none of these should be a concern. pregnancy and childbirth are VERY safe these days. if you are excited you shouldn't get depression. everyone has days though when they feel a bit blue whether you are pregnant, a mum, dad or a student. as for torn flesh, thats is probably the most likely thing to happen. you heal really quick down there and you can have stool softeners to help with bowl movments. i don't want to scare you but i have big babies and i had my first vaginally and she ripped me to shreds. she was 9lb and 8 oz. i had 42 stitches. but i must say i delivered her in Tasmania Australia and they don't have the best technology. i healed really fast and was able to even have sex again 4 weeks later ( a bit gentle though) my other two daughters were born by c-section just to be safe one was 9lb 12 oz and my last (8mths old) was only 7lb 7oz. it is all worth it when you have that little bundle of joy in you arms. with my vaginal delivery i had an epidural and with the c-sections i had spinal blocks. all three were great as i was awake and alert. i had no pain at all, but felt al little pulling and pushing as the baby came out. but it wasn't pain
