Is a single mom with a 3yr old entitled to housing?

My son got this chick pregnant. He's 19yrs old and was recently laid off from his job. She's 20yrs old, 2mo's pregnant now and has a 3yr old son. She's receiving food stamps and Medi-caid Im sure for her son, but she lives with her Grandparents. Can she be eligible for cash assistance, housing or whatever since she's not working? I know she'd be eligible for WIC, but besides filing child support for her son, what else can she do to provide for herself? My son plans to marry her before the baby is born, but both young parents need to really pull themselves together- any suggestions?

In my state, there is TANF(temporary assistance for needy families). I'm sure other states have it or something like it as well. She could try selling things on the internet to make some sort of income. Ebay is a good place to start. My husband and I had a baby and our only income for about 8 months was from selling things on ebay. We made over $2000 a month from things we got at thrift stores and Goodwill.

Depends on the state. In my state, she is expected to go out and get a job. If she can screw around with a guy, she can work. When she applied for food stamps and Medicaid, there should have been paperwork for housing if she was eligible. If, however, she was also laid off, then she needs to do an update with her social worker.
